Getting Started with Your Ankhor Key

Welcome. This quick guide shows how to set up and start using your FIDO2 security key for secure login and second-factor authentication.

01 Plug in the Key

Insert the USB-A FIDO key into any available USB-A port on your computer.

Works on Windows, macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS with no drivers needed.

02 Register the Key

Find this menu in your settings: Security → 2FA → Add Security Key.

Select Security Key. Touch the key sensor when prompted.

03 Use to Sign In

Enter your username & password. Wait for the security key prompt. Touch the key to confirm.

The process takes only a few seconds.

04 Setup Backup Key

Most services allow adding multiple keys.

Recommendation: Register a second key as a backup so you never lose access to your accounts.

Troubleshooting

If the key is not detected:

  • Reinsert the key firmly
  • Try a different USB port
  • Update your browser (Chrome/Edge/Safari)
